This article is about troubleshooting the fault codes as indicated by the blinking lights on the front of the single-phase STP-SCI Smart Controller.
Before Starting:
Before troubleshooting any STP or motor controller we need to verify there is more than 8" of fuel in the tank if there is less than 8" the site will need to get a delivery before we can continue troubleshooting. Remember the UMP (motor) should be 5" off the bottom of the tank.
Number of Blinks | Indicator | Cause |
1 | Underload | Dry Run, or Calibrated with Flow |
2 | Low Input Voltage | Bad Input Power (from breaker) |
3 | Overload | Locked Motor or Bad Wiring |
4 | Open Circuit | Thermal Overload of Motor or Open Circuit |
8 | Uncalibrated | Requires Electrical "Calibration Snapshot" |
9 | Extended Run | Motor Running 60 Minutes with No Flow Change |
10 | Relay Fault | Pump Running with No Hook Signal |
